In the winter months there is lots to do if you want some adventures.
Downhill and Cross country skiing
Andalo offers a modern ski resort with modern ski lifts and a great snowmaking system. The season is generally from late November to mid April.
The mountains offer over 5o km of ski slopes and for lovers of cross-county skiing. The ski resort is suitable for all skiing levels and offers easy and intermediate level slopes as well as a black slope for more advanced skiers.
Four ski school runs are available for beginners, which also include fun attractions for the children. Two of the ski school runs are on the mountain and the other two are in the village.
There are two trails available for cross-country skiing enthusiasts: a 3 km trail located at the sport centre in Andalo (floodlit in the evenings) and a 5 km circuit route through the forest.
The less energetic can experience long walks in the Adamello Brenta Park with snowshoes. It is endowed with 80 lakes and with Adamello Glacier, one of the largest glaciers in Europe.
In the evening take in the Apres ski and enjoy yourself in the local restaurants and bars.
Winter Park Andalo
An amusement park on the artificial snow for young and old only a short walk from the centre of Andalo.
The park is divided into several areas designed for maximum fun including special areas for :
– Track snow-tubing, excellent for young children, who can have fun in total safety.
– Track snow-tubing in rings along a downhill track with curves to make a memorable experience.
– Track & bob sleds suitable for everyone who loves to slide around on the snow.
Get some refreshments at the nearby bar with snacks and drinks.
Nativity scenes Andalo
Near the winter amusement park is an exhibition of various Nativity scenes. Make by hand by the local artisans it really sets the scene for a great winter holiday.
If you want to try something a little different to snowboarding or skiing why not give Telemark a go. You can rent equipment at the local ski stores and go for some cross country adventures or try some downhill. Excellent exercise for your whole body.
